OVERVIEW - KITE SURFING
Kite surfing is so new to the Tuamotus that we really cant say that much about it
as its still being discovered. The nice thing is - we are the only ones doing
the discovering right now. It wont be this way for long since everyone that has
come is going home and telling all their friends. Check the pics at Cascade Kite Photos
and see what were on about.
What we can say is the conditions are consistent. Perfect for riding waves. Hundreds
of pristine deserted beaches for launching and relaxing. Hundreds of protected bays
for screaming around and of course - the open sea and waves for the having.
The main island of Tahiti is just on 7 hours flying time from Australia and Los
Angeles, a journey of about 7000kms.
On arrival in Papeete, Tahiti you will be met by a Cascade representative, who will
transfer you to a nearby hotel, included in the total package. Normally
guests arrive Friday night.
After an overnight stay in Tahiti you will be taken to the airport for a short flight to the Tuamotu atolls on Air Tahiti. The Atolls are
400kms northeast of Tahiti. Depending on conditions and weather the exact island
you will be flown to will vary up to the week before. Cascade will be waiting at
the end of the runway to pickup you and your boards. Cascade also arranges the local
flight connections.
Once in the islands you will be met by our experienced and friendly staff of Chris
O'Callaghan and/or Moana David.
Typical days on the Cascade are spent surfing, diving, spear fishing, bait fishing,
kayaking, as well as eating and drinking the finest and freshest foods the South Pacific can serve up.
